Time Before Off in Seconds to Place Bets - This is the exact amount of settings before the scheduled off that you wish to place any bets.

Place Bets at BSP - Except Dutch Bets OR if NOT a BSP Market - All BACK bets are placed at several ticks under the asking odds. This is now done on a sliding scale to take into account liquidity in odds ranges. Any unmatched bets are then automatically changed to BSP as the market goes in play. This ensures that all bets are matched. In the unlikely circumstance a bet is not matched, it will simply lapse and TBM will automatically pick this up and show the bet as cancelled.

Betfair/Betdaq will always match your bets with the best odds available. This is why we can use odds less than the live odds and make sure we are always matched.

The default for all Lay Bets is to place the bet at 3 Ticks above the current price. The best price engine means we do not need to worry what odds we ask for. You will always get the best odds available at the time of bet placement. All Lay Bets that are not matched at the time of the off will be changed to BSP bets as the market goes in play. Please note there is a Minimum Liability needed for Lay BSP which is £10. If the amount remaining is less than £10 in liability it will be cancelled by Betfair/Betdaq and will not be placed.

When 'Place Bets at BSP' is ticked all Betfair Back Bets are placed at odds of 1000. All Betdaq Back Bets are placed at around 25% above the live market odds. At the time of the off all back bets will be changed to BSP bets.

The process is trickier for Lay BSP Bets. If we place any bet directly into the Lay BSP market the minimum liability is £10. We also lose the ability to cancel the bet manually via Gruss or the Betfair website. If we place our lay bets at odds of 1.01 then the minimum liability is not met. The best solution is therefore to place bets at the current odds rather than 3 ticks above to ensure we are matched. That way we know the requested liability at the time of bet placement. The majority of our bets will be matched straight away using the Betfair Best odds engine. However for those Lay Bets that are not matched at the requested odds they will be converted to Lay BSP bets providing the liability is greater than £10. Any bets that do not meet this threshold are allowed to lapse by Betfair/Betdaq and will be shown as 'CANCEL' in TBM.

Dutch Bets are always placed immediately so that we know exactly whats odds we are using for the calculations.

Some markets are NOT BSP Markets. This includes most USA and AUS Place Markets, Soccer and Tennis Markets. Where the market is NOT a BPS Market, the bet will be placed immediately as if BSP was switched off.

True BSP Option - There is an additional option on the Global TBM Settings Screen. This allows us to place bets directly into the BSP Market. When this option is used, the minimum threshold for back stake of lay liability has to be met. More details can be found here.

Caution note Note

Liquidity on some markets in Betdaq is less than Betfair. XSP (Betdaq BSP) is rarely matched on markets with low liquidity. Therefore it is not recommended to use XSP with TBM and Betdaq on low liquidity markets.

Use Test Mode - Override Placed Stakes - Test mode is switched on at default. All bets are placed using the test mode stake setting. At default this is 10p or 10c. This does not effect how the series of bets is displayed in the main grid which will show the calculated stake. The Record of Today's Bets on the main screen and the Historical Bet Ledger will both show the actual stake placed.

Caution note Note

When using Test Mode, the Record of Daily Bets and Historical Bet Ledger will show the actual stake placed. Each individual systems View series/Settings Screen will display stakes as per your current staking plan settings.

Individual Max Stake/Liability - This has been added as an additional safety feature so that you will never place a bet higher than you have set here. If the calculated stake is greater than the Max Stake or Max Liability (Lay Bets) then the Max Stake will be used instead. This does not effect how the series of bets is displayed in the main grid which will show the calculated stake. The Record of Today's Bets on the main screen and the Historical Bet Ledger will all show the actual stake placed.

Caution note Note

If a Max Stake/ Liability bet is placed, the Record of Daily Bets and Historical Bet Ledger will show the actual stake placed. Each individual systems View series/Settings Screen will display stakes as per your current staking plan settings.
