TBM - Gruss Connection Problems
This page is only relevant if you are struggling to connect to Gruss. You can skip this page if have connected with no issues.
Gruss Betting Assistant allows 3rd party applications such as The Bet Machine to communicate with it by becoming a server. There are 2 things that have to happen for this to work.
1) The server has to be turned on from within Gruss as we saw earlier in Connecting TBM to Gruss Betting Assistant
2) The Port selected cannot already be in use by another application. If the COM Server is enabled in Gruss and you get the following error in The Bet Machine when you try and connect then you may need to change the Port number in both Gruss and TBM.
In Gruss choose another port number.
In Gruss BA go to Options --> Preferences - COM Server
Change the default Port Number to a different one. In the example below I have used 8001.
Save the changes in Gruss. Make sure you then close down and restart Gruss for any changes to take effect.
In TBM go to TBM Global Settings --> Gruss Connection Tab
In the screenshot below we have changed the port to 8001.
Save the settings in TBM and try and connect again.
